Live Animal Presentations

Wilderness Trails Zoo’s animal presentations program offers excellent learning experiences for children.  The children are given the opportunity to interact on a personal basis with each of the five animals visiting with them.  Instead of being overwhelmed with 200 animals at the zoo, they can focus their attention on the few animals right in front of them. 

  A basic presentation includes an animal keeper from the zoo coming to your establishment and talking about the lifestyle of the five animals that were brought.  The kids are able to pet most of the animals.

The zoo staff wants the children to learn as much as possible through this experience.  Ultimately, they will gain respect and appreciation for the animal world through a unique learning experience.

Traveling Petting Area

         Our traveling petting area offers an up close and personal experience with zoo animals without making the trip to the zoo.  Instead keepers at the zoo pack up our mobile fencing and creatures and come to YOU.  This is a terrific way to add to a carnival, festival, holiday, or any event where there will be kids or animal lovers of any age.  We bring weather resistant equipment, so there is no need for a special set up or to worry about the animals getting wet.  Depending on the arrangement, the petting area can be all day or just for a couple hours.  Animals that participate in the petting area include parrots, donkeys, zebu, miniature horses, camels, and reptiles.  If you are interested in the traveling petting area for your next event or holiday please call us a call at (989) 624 6177.
